Palawan Day 4: City Tour and departure

Our day 4 in Palawan has arrived. This would be our last day in Puerto Princesa. Days really passed by very quick when you're enjoying. I was sad by the thought of going back to Manila again and work work work! Waaahhh. But good thing is, bf and me had a great time and was really relax during this vacation. We enjoyed it very much!
We decided to tour the city on our last day in Palawan. We don't want to avail of the city tour package because it will cost us too much since we're out of budget already and we're not that eager to visit other places that was included in the package tour like the butterfly garden and the crocodile farm so our plan was to commute. We decided to visit the following places: Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral, the Baywalk, Mitra's Ranch, Baker's Hill, Tiangge Tiangge and the Market.
First stop: Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral. For every place I've been too, especially if it's my first time to that place, I made sure that I will be able to visit the church there. The church was quite simple but solemn. I didn't took pictures inside the church for I feel that it will interfere the solemness of the church. We just prayed then took some pictures outside.

Second stop: The Baywalk. It was like a 15 minute walk from the church. According to other tourists, the Baywalk has a lot of food stalls by night. But we visited there almost lunchtime. So what do we expect? No one was in the baywalk by the time we were there!(ofcourse it was almost lunch and the heat was too high girl. hehehe). I just took some pictures then proceeded to the next place.
the view
see? no one was around. hehe

Since our next destination was too far and cannot be walked, we asked a tricycle driver to drived us there. Like a contracted ride. Amount was Php150 for the two of us. So for our third stop: Mitra's Ranch.
Mitra's Ranch, owned by late Philippine senator Ramon Mitra, has a view of the Honda Bay and the Sulu Sea. We did not spend too much time here because BF was already having his tantrums (wanna go to the next place immediately huh!). But ofcourse, I took some pictures before we go.

love the view
Fourth stop: Baker's Hill. It was very near to Mitra's. I sooo love this place. Since I'm a kid (by heart..you know..hehe), I enjoyed the statues of Snow White and the seven dwarfs, Cartoon Characters (Donald duck etc..) and many more. It was like a mini zoo also because some animals can be seen here. It's a beautiful garden filled with different flowers and animals. There were also food stalls inside and the famous Hopia can be bought there. Definitely, if you already have a kid, he or she will enjoy this place the most.
We were shock when we were about to buy some pasalubongs (hopia ofcourse), because almost all the hopia were gone! We were really stunned. hahaha. Only two hopia was left so we had no choice but to buy other delicacies available. In fairness, their sweet delicacies were delicious.

On to our Fifth stop: Tiangge Tiangge. This is the most famous store for all kinds of pasalubong. Keychains, ref magnets, wallets, purse, bracelets, t-shirts, decorations (big or small), name it, they have it. hehehe. We just bought key chains here and ref magnet (ever famous pasalubong for officemates..hahaha) then proceeded to our last destination that will complete our city tour.
Sixth stop: the Market. You can also buy some pasalubongs here. I bought two souvenir shirts here for my parents. I also bought danggit (dried fish is my favorite breakfast) and BF bought some big prawns and crabs. The locals were very nice because they helped us buy and select good catch. And they also helped us packing those seafoods so it will be fresh until it reached Manila.
At exactly 1pm, our city tour do-it-yourself edition was finished. We went back to our house and packed our things. Around 3PM, the van that will accompany us to the airport has arrived.
Off we go to the airport and payed Php40 for the terminal fee. This time I felt that our vacation was so "bitin". I want more vacation!!!! hahaha. So BF and I promised to ourselves that we will sure be back to explore other places especially in Palawan. And I'm very happy to inform you all that we are already booked for Coron this coming August! Sooo excited!!! Will sure blog about this soon.

Palawan Day 3: Honda Bay Island Hopping

On our day 3, we will be wet and wild by honda bay island hopping! (oh yeah!). Our day would just focused on beach bumming, snorkeling and relaxing.

here we go!

Since honda bay is near, we were picked-up around 9am by our new tour guide. I'm really excited because this will be the first time BF and I will try to snorkel. Our tour guide provided us snorkeling gears (rent is 150). After 20 mins, we arrived at the port and upon arrival, we bought some breads because we will feed the fishes later on. After 15 mins and photo ops, off we go to the boat and our first destination was...Pambato Coral Reef!
Entrance fee here is Php50/pax. So sad because I was not able to take pictures of this place. Actually this is not an island. It's a part of the sea that has beautiful coral reefs. Different fishes, corals, big and small clams can be found on this place. It made me feel that an underwater camera is very important when travelling. So don't forget to bring not just a plain camera but a waterproof camera to be able to capture all the moments especially down under :)
After Pambato Reef, we headed to the next island, Snake Island. It was named Snake island because of its shape, not because it has a lot of snakes. No entrance fee needed for this island, but you have to pay for the cottage. We had our lunch on this island. Actually nothing fancy can be seen on this island. But it is also an good place to snorkel. I saw nemo here. hehehe

arriving at snake island

what are you looking there?

dyosabel in the house yo!..haha

we came from hogwarts you know..hehe

lunch time! My favorite part of the tour..hahaha

After Lunch, off we go to the last island of the day, Pandan Island. Entrance fee here is Php50/pax. I don't know how much is the cottage. According to what I have read, this island was bought by the owner of the Dos Palmas. So this island is the most well maintained and has cr. A lot of activities can be done here (for a fee ofcourse) like jetski, banana boating and kayaking. As usual, we just snorkel here and found nemo again. hehehe.

can you see the island?

getting nearer

welcome to isla pandan!

island hunk. yum yum.

going home

Around 3pm, we were advised to be back at the port because the sea might be very moody because it's starting to rain.I was not able to take pictures when we were going back to the port because I was really scared of the huge waves of the sea. Good thing is nobody panicked and our boatmen was really good.

More on Day 4 :)
